Rikuo Toyono is a Japanese interdisciplinary artist, composer, and performer based in Switzerland.

His practice brings together sound, physical performance, everyday objects, improvisation, and visual expression to explore how people experience space and relate to one another. Rooted in experimental electronic music and live performance, his work moves beyond music itself, treating sound as a medium that transforms perception, communication, and shared space.

Through his ongoing artistic practice, he explores the intersection of music, movement, and theatre, investigating forms of creativity and human connection that can only emerge through the experience of sharing the same physical space.

Alongside his personal projects, he collaborates internationally as a composer, sound designer, and multidisciplinary artist across theatre, performance, and visual arts.
